Written with the same profound insight and shining prose as Dunmore¯s adult fiction this is a deceptively simple book, with an idyllic setting, and a deep, dark sub-text, dealing with the complexities of shifting friendships. My only quibble is that I could have done without the medical complications ® read it and judge for yourself. There are two earlier books in the Zillah trilogy ® I can¯t wait to get hold of them.
