This is a serious, well-meaning book about the kindertransport by which hundreds of children escaped the Nazis. As it's from Puffin, itĂs obviously meant for children, but the tone varies from broadsheet journalism to straight interviews ¨ thereĂs no attempt at narrative structure and although the material is interesting and should be very moving, the clumsy structure and unfocussed style makes for a difficult, uninvolving read.
