This is a theatre all bound up with blue and pink ribbons. It's so cleverly constructed that it doesn't take up very much room at all before you start investigating but when you do, a whole world of ballet and beauty opens up in front of you. Brilliant, brilliant idea and very easy for a child of five or six to operate though an adult to put on the lovely Tchaikovsky cd and read the accompanying book is a useful adjunct.
There are flats that slot in and make different backcloths; there are lots of characters to stick into holes on the stage and twirl about and there is the story with all kinds of additional information. It's the ideal present for a ballet-mad child and will keep whole families entertained most royally this Christmas, if there's any justice at all...we all had a great time putting on a show! And it is very, very reasonably priced for what it is. Go out and buy it in your multitudes. It's fantastic.
